Warren and I are finally settling into our new life as parents of 2 high energy boys. It has been a very trying 4 months and the last thing I have had is energy. I am hoping to bring our blog up to date over the next few days.

Until then...Enjoy a phone pic from today.

Updates
Feb. She spent time with Trey and snuggle our newest addition, Brandon. This was the first we had seen her since she lost weight. I am so thankful for all her help while I continued to recover from my c-section. I had a very fast recovery. I was now down to one pain killer in the evening and scrubbing the inside of the fridge between folding laundry. Mom will always be Mom, even after baby becomes a Mommy. I was a bad girl and did not listen when she told me to sit down and let her worry about the cooking, cleaning and toddler care. Bad Brina! I love having my Mommy around, she's the best.

Grandma meets Trey - 7/2007

Grandma and Brandon - 1/2009
Doesn't she look great?!

Trey shows off for Grammy

Sweet Baby Dreams

Brandon meets Brobee

Cutie

Hanging with Daddy. He is the last piece of our family puzzle. It seems like only yesterday I found out I was pregnant. It was a Saturday morning and I woke up with a weird feeling, a feeling I knew all too well. Trey and I wandered the aisles of Walgreens for a few minutes before I began scanning the familiar shelves of pregnancy tests. I needed to confirm the positive test from earlier that morning. A few hours later we shared the fantastic news with Warren.

Looking into his face for the first time I felt that gush of unconditional love overcome my heart, an emotion you never truly know until you hold your child. I think back to that warm July evening when I first held my little man, Trey. I never knew how much one person could love another until I had my first child. I have an amazing Husband who I am completely in love with but he can not hold a flame to my children. It is just a different kind of love that a Mother has for her precious babies.

Trey had spent the last 18 months filling our home with laughter and love but I could not help but wonder how he would react. I asked Warren to drive to pick up Trey while Brandon and I were in recovery. I could not wait to have our entire family together. We tried to prepare Trey for the new baby but how do you prepare an 18 month old toddler to share his life, his parents and his home with a new baby?

Brandon and I took this time to get to know each other.

Just before being wheeled upstairs Christine arrived. She is a friend of ours who happens to be a fantastic photographer. The original plan was to have her photograph the birth but that was not going to happen with a c-section. I was so excited when I heard her voice on the other side of the curtain! I can not wait to see her photos.

After arriving upstairs Brandon visited with Christine before Helen and Kasen arrived. Kasen was in heaven with all the cool buttons on my bed, he had to inspect and be sure everything was up to code. He is such a great kiddo and I am so happy he and his family are a part of our lives. Helen and I met in lamaze class while we were pregnant with Trey and Kasen. She was due the day after I was but delivered 11 days before would. It is so nice having a close friend who truly knows what you are going through and the boys (even the big ones) have so much fun together. Everything from that point was a blurr until my boys arrival. I was so anxious to have the four of us all together in the same room that it was all I could focus on.

Finally, the door swung open and there were the two men in my life, Trey and Warren. Fighting back my tears I could see Trey was excited to see Kasen but then he saw his Mommy in the big hospital bed and all the wires. It seemed to catch him off guard as he went right into shy mode.

Everyone watched as Trey climbed up into his Daddy's lap and watched that baby in Daddy's other arm. So far no fits so we are doing good, right?? I was still fighting the tears as a mixture of emotions and hormones rolled through my body. I now had three beautiful men with whom I could share my life. Warren and I had two beautiful boys to watch and help blossom into the people they were meant to be. Two absolutely wonder baby boys!

Kasen and Trey inspect the baby together. You have to love the krinkled up nose as Kasen points out his own nose. Trey on the other hand was staying in his shell.

Can you tell how excited I was to have all THREE of my boys together?! Helen took this photo when Brandon was about 4 hours old.

As soon as everyone left Trey began to warm up. I just think the entire situation was very overwhelming for such a little guy.

Then it was time for a little snack. Yummy Bunnies!

Someone discovered the stash of snacks Mommy had packed for him in her suitcase...

The next few hours were spent getting to know each other. Brandon did a lot of snuggling and Trey ignored him while going about his own business of a follow up inspection. Just in case Kasen missed anything. I was trapped in bed and often felt like an observer simply watching my boys from the outside. Warren was filled with so much love for both his boys and just listening to his "chats" with them brings tears to my eyes. Trey and Brandon are truly lucky to have such a great Father.

During Brandon's first bath, around 5pm, Trey's big brother side surfaced.

He became very concerned when he heard Brandon's cries. After climbing up into bed with me he reached out for his baby Brandon. He wanted to comfort his little brother.

This is the turning moment, our new family of four became one.

Trey was a very happy boy again and it seemed as though everything would be ok.

Suddenly, in the middle of a song and dance, he blurted out "Hi Brandon!" and I couldn't get the camera on fast enough. (This was the first time Trey had bothered to put someone's name after Hi) Kisses would follow.

Later, that evening Linz showed up to meet our newest addition. Unfortunately he was in the nursery having his oxygen levels checked. But, she came back the next afternoon to meet him!

Trey spent most of the day with Linz and her youngest, Ashley, who turns 2 in a few weeks. Her oldest Rissa was at MDO so it was just the littles. Trey even went to Target for a bit of Linz bargain shopping. (yes Linz shopping is in a class all by it's self) The kids came home with the cutest boots! Trey has a pair of Firemen rain boots and loves stopping around the house in them. Thank you so much Linz. (I need to load a picture of his boots)I was so happy to get such a possitive report back from Linz, but she could have just been being nice :P She said Trey was a very good little boy and was no trouble at all. She even said she would watch him anytime. I am just glad he didn't drive her into a padded cell :)

Let me just show you the comfy night gown Linz brought me the next day. I didn't take it off until it was time to go home. I just showered and put it back on it was so cozy. I hate those gowns they give you to wear. They are so itchy and in no way comfortable. Not to mention, they are even worse when you are trying to breastfeed. I am so grateful to have a friend like Linz in my life!

That night after Trey and Warren left for the evening, I finally let all my emotions from the day out. I had tears of joy as I cuddled skin to skin with Brandon. I knew we were all going to make it and I had not "destroyed" my Trey's world. No, Warren and I had opened his world wide to a whole new set of possibilities. Trey had in no way been replaced. He is my first born and has his own special place in my heart that no one else could ever replace. He is my little man and he is now growing in another part of his life, as a big brother. This is a title he is taking very seriously as no one takes his little brother out of his sight without his approval. Knowing our newest addition had been welcomed into the world by all of his little family, Brandon and I settled in for the evening.

Good night Daddy and Trey, we love you!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-76013686831643532802009-01-27T14:25:00.012-06:002009-01-27T21:04:02.259-06:00Brandon's BirthWe dropped Trey off at Lindsay's house around 6:30 am.
This is our last few minutes together as a family of 3 photo, taken by Linz.

We were 15 minutes late to Labor & Delivery. Got to love I-30 traffic even at 6:45! IV's and monitors hooked up, a quick comment to the nurse and resident that it was MY idea to do this without medication and Dr. Heckman was ready to begin the Version at 8:30. This is extremely painful, my advice is to take the meds!!! Brandon made a half forward roll before slipping back into his cozy spot. Dr. H finally had to stop and begin my epidural as he puts it "I do not like causing people pain."

When everything was nice and numb we began another attempt. Unfortunately, he would not move any further than before. When Dr. H stopped I knew the minute he looked at me...we were having a c-section. Dr. H said he was having to push harder than he was comfortable with and felt we had all made a great attempt. I had to agree. I wanted to avoid the c-section but I knew in my heart we had tried everything in our power to turn Brandon. I just wanted a healthy baby and if this meant having a c-section I was fine with it.

Warren and I were given a few minutes alone during which I had a good cry. I just had to get out all my frustration before I could truly be at peace with the idea. My crying actually turned to laughter when I received a text from Linz, Trey was down for a nap after falling asleep on the tricycle. Knowing my little man was happy hanging out with Linz and her girls put me at ease. Shortly after that text we found out our OR time had moved up from noon to 11:00. Looking back I know the shorter wait time made things much easier.

Warren is just so cute in his scrubs!

My huge bump a few minutes before being wheeled off to the OR. I was already swelling up from the fluids.

We continued to watch the inauguration while we waited and yes it was on during all of the day's events. I was so excited to be delivering my baby boy on such a historic day! The last thing I saw as they wheeled me from labor and delivery to the operation room was Biden raising his hand to be sworn in as Vice-President.

I have to admit the OR was not at all what I expected. I really don't know what I was expecting. Everyone in the room was very sweet and the resident who assisted Dr H. had the music on her I-Phone play. When Warren finally came into the room his first words to me were "Nothing says having a baby like REO Speedwagon." This of course was followed by him asking they not move the screen to block his vision. Yuck! Later he admitted he couldn't stop staring my belly that was now mishapened from the version.

I have to admit the entire procedure was not so bad. I could feel pressure and movement but the only thing that bothered me was the smell from the laser. Everything was going smoothly when suddenly everyone began laughing. Brandon decided to pee all over everyone on his way out!

At 11:36 am cst a 7lb 10oz, 20.75 inch beautiful little boy came into the world.

Anyone curious what song was playing when he was born? But, I will begin with baby Brandon updates. Brandon is still breech but we have a final appointment tomorrow morning. At our last appointment he weighed 7.4 lbs! As it currently stands we are scheduled early Tuesday, January 20, for an external cephalic version. If they are unable to turn Brandon or there are complications my doctor will preform a c-section. If all goes well he will induce labor and we will attempt a vaginal delivery.

More info on how an external cephalic version works.

Trey has been doing great! He is getting so big! Yesterday was his half birthday and we spent the afternoon with Helen and Kasen at the park. Can you believe my sweet baby boy is already 18 months? Wow. I have a ton of photos from the past few weeks so I'll have to sort through them and post them soon.

Helen took a ton of photos at the park and has posted them on their blog!

As for Warren and I, we are just trying to get ready for the big day. I have definitely been slowing down not by choice but am very lucky to have such a helpful Hubby. I'll update tomorrow when we know more and hopefully while in the hospital as long as all goes well. :)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-6471887396525385702008-12-28T14:00:00.001-06:002008-12-28T14:01:23.329-06:00Daddy Put Together Our New Swing Set!Yesterday was so much fun! Trey being old enough, 17 months, to understand more this year has made this a wonderful Holiday Season! I did not take a ton of photos this year but we do have a lot of video. I just need to figure out how to convert MTS files over to AVI.

After a bath and slipping into our jammies Daddy and Trey took over the sugar cookies for Mommy. Brandon was having a VERY active evening but that was not about to stop us from making cookies for Santa. No way!

Our Trey Safe Christmas Trey (AKA no breakables or anything else within Trey's reach)was all ready! He must have been a very good boy this year.

The aftermath! Trey is a fantastic supervisor just ask his Daddy.

Excuse this wall, Daddy's gift arrived a bit early and is setup very temporarily.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-36081049235852691072008-12-24T07:00:00.001-06:002008-12-24T09:25:05.260-06:00Putting up the train!Monday night Trey and Warren put the train under the tree. Thank goodness! We had an ultrasound Monday and I got to see those chubby little cheeks. I can not get over how much his profile looks like Trey's but it looks like he may have his Daddy's nose. It does seem Brandon has decided to suddenly float to the top of my uterus and sit footling breech. His head was engaging several weeks early and now he has decided to flip the wrong way?! Silly boy.

Here is a some info. We are currently trying tilts and will begin light/music this weekend. Our next steps will be discussed at my next visit in two weeks. I'm not too worried as only 3% stay breech, we still have plenty of time and I have faith in my Doctor. It is just weird having a baby sit above my belly button! Trey sat very low and sideways before turning to vertex presentation. Brandon has sat fairly low until now but is much more active than Trey.

Now here is what everyone has been waiting for!

He is currently 4.5lbs and they are guessing he will be smaller at birth than my moose. The current guess is 7.5lbs at delivery. I'll take it!

A little more cuteness from Daddy's office last night.

Yes, he is sitting on his brother!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-9901954267175856622008-12-12T10:00:00.003-06:002008-12-12T10:10:27.636-06:00Sesame Street Live!

Trey and Daddy are going to their first Sesame Street Live show!

I can talk about this because I was so excited that I gave Warren the tickets already. I am horrible when it comes to keeping secrets from Warren and waiting another 2 weeks was not about to happen.

A friend mentioned the other day that Sesame Street Live was coming to town and the timing couldn't be better. Trey LOVES that little red monster and with Brandon's arrival just around the corner I knew they would enjoy having a special "Big Guy" day. Can you believe my little man is moving up to Big Guy status? Secretly, Mommy is going to enjoy having a day of cuddling and napping with her littlest guy. I am bummed to miss Trey's first live show but Daddy and Trey deserve this special time together. I hope they take lots of pictures! Elmo live and they have center stage seats! I think I may be more excited than the boys.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-16464069052808097482008-12-09T07:00:00.001-06:002008-12-09T08:52:09.079-06:0032 Weeks! With my OB being out of town I saw one of his partners on Friday. It ended up working out so Warren and Trey could come with me! Yay! Trey was such a good boy and as always sucked up the attention. I haven't seen Dr. Harris since I was pregnant with Trey and he had nothing but compliments for our little man. I have to say I love this partner and if my own doctor is unable to make it I would feel just as comfortable in his hands. He looked over my chart and we talked a bit about my BORDERLINE blood pressure along with the increase in contractions. My blood pressure was much worse with Trey and was totally pregnancy related. This time I think it's just all the stress around me. We have had a lot on our plate this year but who hasn't. After explaining the short of it he was totally comfortable with my blood pressure for now.

After my exam he was also comfortable with my increased contractions. There are no signs of dilation or effacement! It's really not a surprise to me but he has to make sure. With Trey I was 30% effaced and 2 cm dilated when I was induced at 39 weeks. I had been for 2 weeks at that point and it seemed the only change during those 2 weeks was gaining 1 cm in dilation.

Brandon has definitely hit a growth spurt and measuring a whole week ahead. We should know more at my next appointment. Daddy loved hearing his little boy's rapid heartbeat. His heartbeat is usually pretty fast from all those flips and kicks. Speaking of which, he has not slowed down despite the fact his living quarters are shrinking around him.

How exciting! And we go back to see the doctor next week. I have one more two week appt. after that and then the weekly visits begin. The big day is just around the corner! :)

As for Trey, he doing fantastic and finally beginning to talk to people besides Warren and I. His favorite game lately is picking up his toys and throwing things out. If it looks like something he has seen thrown away, he will throw it away. Luckily, he hasn't thrown anything important away...yet.

Warren and I can not wait for Christmas this year. Trey is finally old enough to some what understand and he loves tearing open presents. I do know Warren will spend either Christmas Eve or Christmas morning putting up a swing set! Grandma Joanie sent us a great a train for the boys to put under the tree. It's the Lionel Polar Express, Warren and Trey have been waiting to dig into the box. It will have to wait till Christmas eve this year since a certain little man loves to play with cars and we do not want him to break it.

This weekend is going to be crazy! Thursday night we are visiting Santa's village over by Warren's work. Saturday we are hoping to do maternity portraits with Trey and then the local Christmas Parade Saturday night. Sunday is Christie and Steve's baby shower. All this while trying to bake holiday goodies and sort baby stuff. No wonder I am exhausted come Mondays.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-58280873981610225012008-12-02T07:00:00.003-06:002008-12-02T11:29:22.636-06:00Triangular MarkersThe other day I bought Trey a set of Crayola Beginnings - Washable Triangular Markers at Target. Trey loves using crayons but is a bit rough on them so I decided to give these markers a try. Let me just say they are awesome!! Trey also likes the TaDoodles but tends to play more than draw when using them. The first time he used the Triangular Markers he covered the paper and loved every minute of it. The shape and thickness makes them very easy for little hands to hold. We both give these markers two thumbs up!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-13342672677900085152008-11-29T18:43:00.002-06:002008-11-29T19:32:29.397-06:00Santa BabyWe saw Santa today!!! Trey was carefully overseeing the unpack of the Christmas Ornaments. As we took our special ornaments out of their individual boxes Trey decided they needed to go back in the bin. That's when we heard it! That *POP* that could mean only one thing, a glass globe ornament just broke. Luckily, it was still in it's packaging with all of it's matched so clean up was very simple. With a child who loves to play toss we decided to only put our special ornaments on the tree this year. Let's just say we have no desire to clean fine shards of glass out if the carpet this year.

Friday morning was a 4am rush to Toy R Us to help Santa pick out a swing set and a Power Wheels Li'l Kawasaki Sport. Trey was lucky and slept in waking up just in time to enjoy a lazy morning before going out with Mommy.

Morning Chit Chat.

Trey and his Ally.

Projector Fun

Santa's Grumpy Helper!

Sorting Ornaments

Our Sweet Boy

Who needs presents when we have an empty tin?!

Trey's 1st Christmas 2007

Our Silly Guy!

These bins make for great ball rolling!

A certain Toddler thinks Ally should be comfy...I just washed those covers!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-80549597157894702132008-11-27T20:11:00.001-06:002008-11-27T20:14:11.898-06:00Happy Thanksgiving! We had a fantastic Thanksgiving! The morning started off with haircuts for Warren and Trey. Then Auntie Christie, Uncle Steve and Lauren join us for an afternoon full of food and football. It was so nice to spend Thanksgiving with our dear friends and Trey absolutely adores Lauren. Warren setup the projector so we could watch the game which wasn't too bad on our textured green walls. Woohoo Cowboys!!! Boy did we have a spread, it was a pregnant woman or two's dream. I couldn't have made them that cheap!! So that is one big item off my to buy list. Yay!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-91662724322076988532008-11-21T14:29:00.004-06:002008-11-21T20:42:48.747-06:00Baby UpdatesYesterday I had a visit with the OB. Brandon was so active he sounded like a galloping horse over the doppler. We're just two peas in a pod since I'm walking around like a cowboy. He is doing great and Mommy was given magic pills to make her Braxton Hicks Contraction go away. We still have a ton of pelvic pressure (the joys of low babies) but our exam shows no signs of early labor. Yay!! In short, I am suppose to slow down. Is that even possible with a toddler? I guess that means it's Daddy's job to do the chasing at night.

Trey has figured out how to truly throw a tantrum. No more carefully laying down on the floor and whimpering softly with his tushy wiggling in the air. No, we now stand in the middle of the room, throw our head back and screams so loud I am sure someone is going to call CPS. Luckily, he figures out we are not going to give in and he calms himself down pretty fast moving on with his day. Who would have guessed the color of his sippy cup could matter so much.

He is also mastering crawling down the stairs all by himself. He can do it, it's more a matter of Mommy can no longer carry him up or down the stairs. He is also now walking up the stairs holding a hand on the wall instead of crawling up the stairs. We are still working on potty training but it is coming along nicely.

Trey's Hideout!

I am currently sorting, washing and hanging all of the 0-6 month clothing. I still need to make room in the "kids" cabinet for the bottles and sort our baby supplies. It is looking like we are pretty set for the newest member of our family but this morning I began a list of items we need to buy over the next few months. Isn't it amazing how much less you need after the first one?! Having another boy makes it even easier. With the first one being a summer baby I am thinking it's just a matter of a few key items to make outfits a tad warmer, especially since I already have things like a double stroller.

I'd really appreciate it if a few of you beautiful Mamas would take a look and give me a few pointers. I really have no idea what I need for a winter newborn!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-42974978631960256702008-11-18T07:16:00.003-06:002008-11-18T08:07:13.693-06:00Getting Ready for Thanksgiving and Black FridayTrey and I spent the better part of last week down with the flu. Thursday was by far our hardest day but we survived! The one day Warren was trying to rush home to play nurse he gets stuck with the day from hell. Between clients, flat tires and general BS he didn't make it home until just before 9pm. That's a 15 1/2 hour day! He came home to a very grumpy child and a miserable mommy curled up together on the couch under a fluffy blanket. Luckily, he came home with food and we are all feeling better now!

This week we are getting ready for the holidays! There are lists to be made, cards to be printed and all around craziness to be had. Heck, we are still getting ready for Thanksgiving! We have hand turkeys to make, a menu to figure out and all will be followed by putting up our Christmas Tree!! I am actually looking forward to cooking Thanksgiving dinner with Warren but I think we are passing on the turkey this year. After all Trey is too young to care, Mommy looks like she is smuggling a turkey already and Daddy has never been huge on Thanksgiving turkey. Perhaps a less traditional meal...we'll have to figure that out. Pioneer Woman, HELP! :)

A friend, Jessica, showed me this awesome site for Black Friday. I am in love!

http://www.blackfriday.info/

Here's a random secret. I have never been Black Friday shopping and I am so excited!

Now for Random silliness! Let's just say all organization has gone out the window! For almost 16 months I have been trying to win the battle of clean home verses being a Mom. I think many of us are fighting this same battle. You clean and as soon as the supplies are put away a tornado has hit that once clean room. When I became pregnant with #2 I quickly raised the white flag.

Our home is no longer kept in that "Sure just stop over anytime!" condition. It has hit "Give me an hour!" status. The warm fragrance of that day's scented candle burning has been traded for the aroma of poopy diaper. That delightful smell seems to linger after they move up to solid foods. Clutter free has moved to watch your step as toys seem to find themselves scattered about the house. Yes we have a great playroom but why would a toddler want to play in a playroom?! Clean carpets have been traded for crushed cheerios and milk / juice spots. Whoever told you that sippy cups don't spill has never had children and who steams their carpet daily? Doing dishes as you use them went out the window the day my little one discovered a dishwasher is really just a box that puts sharp and breakable things right at eye level! Can you guess which he goes for first? Now we do them when he is napping and we're done recovering from the last game of chase me. Oh and to add to the chaos we have two dogs and a cat! Trying to keep house, be a mother, be a wife and run a home based business at the same time is not easy but doing it all while pregnant? Thank goodness my Husband knows how to cook, do laundry and clean! Yeah, how lucky am I to have caught that fish! :)

So I decided to give myself a kick and came across this site. FlyLady.net I have decided to give it an honest try. Have I mentioned that I hate cleaning? Don't get me wrong, nothing makes me happier than a clean home. But! I question my friends who claim they truly enjoy cleaning.

Now let's begin with her BabySteps:

Today is Day 1 - Go shine your sink.

"This is your first household chore. Many of you can't understand why I want you to empty your sink of your dirty dishes and clean and shine it, when there is so much more to do. It is so simple. I want you to have a sense of accomplishment. You have struggled for years with a cluttered home and you are so beaten down. I just want to put a smile on your face. When you get up the next morning, your sink will greet you and a smile will come across your lovely face. I can't be there to give you a big hug, but I know how good it feels to see yourself in your kitchen sink. So each morning this is my gift to you. Even though I can't be there to pat you on the back, I want you to know that I am very proud of you.

Go shine your sink! - FlyLady"Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-29398730419728414782008-11-07T12:43:00.003-06:002008-11-07T15:41:40.275-06:00Our Little Snuggle Bug Loves His Cars!Trey has a huge bucket of cars of every size and shape. Some make noise, some light up and some do nothing at all. He absolutely loves cars! I have never been a believer in girl vs boy toys but this boy has been drawn to cars since he was itty bitty.

It started out with this purple car.

That purple car has lived in his crib for the past month with Senor Frog. So, he found two playtime replacements.

A cool H2 Hot Wheel and a simple wooden car. He has to find a place to stash them before he heads up to nap. We have to be safe just in case someone else wakes up before him. I have found them in cabinets, the fridge and behind cushions. In his potty chair is a first.

Trey is such a snuggle bug this week!!

Monday night he played with Daddy all night and was very persistent when it came to taking off his diaper.

Tuesday night he watched the elections snuggle up with Mommy and a bag of snack mix

Thursday was Ally's lucky night!

Wednesday - Friday he snuggled up to my bump all day while everyone else played. I just feel very lucky there was no poop...this time.

Update:
The above photo in the crib is from 10:30am. At 2:30pm Trey was the first to wake up from nap. I knew there was an issue as soon as I stood outside his door. You guessed it! Inside I discovered a poo covered naked baby and crib. He had taken off his jeans, shirt, diaper cover and diaper! Needless to say, we will be making a trip to the store TONIGHT to buy more footsie zip up jammies, the only thing he can not take off, for him to wear anytime he is in his crib. My biggest question is how he manages to take everything off and cause such a mess without a peep coming over his monitor. Daddy and I will be discussing a video monitor as well. Thank goodness for hand held shower heads!!

Currently he is happily snacking on animal crackers and juice, just like nothing happened, while he waits for everyone else to wake up.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-74037463495062681592008-11-05T07:06:00.004-06:002008-11-05T14:17:17.128-06:00Barriers are broken!

I am so proud of our country! The words are so hard to find but I am so happy my son witnessed this monumental moment in history! As parents, Warren and I, wish to raise our children to accept everyone based solely on their character. Last night, our country stood up and set a wonderful example for our children. We acknowledged it is time to put past prejudices behind us. Putting political beliefs aside, this is a wonderful day in our history. We as Americans elected our first black President! It's a beautiful moment as we unite to move past the prejudices of our country's past and move forward to a new day.

The evening was filled with so many emotions. McCain, though not my pick, blew me away with his concession speech. I think it could easily be his most moving speech. "Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans" - McCain.

We witnessed race barriers disappear as celebration united our country. Dr. King's dream came true!

UPDATE:
I am very disappointed to see the bans on gay marriage approved in Arizona, California and Florida. I must say Arkansas' ban on unmarried couples becoming adoptive or foster parents is sickening. Why deprive a child of a loving home? We just have to remind ourselves, "This too shall pass."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910447292944548013.post-53617189976024673982008-11-03T17:28:00.001-06:002008-11-03T17:29:39.609-06:00Fresh Produce, Halloween Candy, Sales and General RandomnessYour doctor scheduling your 1 Hour Glucose Test for Gestational Diabetes the week after Halloween is just evil! What pregnant woman doesn't want to eat all of the Halloween candy? But, I am guessing living off of candy would be a bad idea. Or maybe I can blow it off till next week, hmm. Luckily, I am craving fresh tomatoes!

I would give anything for a tomato sandwich with a little salt and pepper right now. Anything, even make a roast! That's right, I currently have a Roast in the crock pot. In my book, roast is gross but Warren loves it. He loves meatloaf as well, another huge "EWW!!!" in my book. Hopefully this roast will result in Hubby bringing home Tomatoes for Trey and I!! Yes, Trey wants them too. I asked and he shook his head yes and said "Mato!" Okay, so there is a small possibility that I am using our toddler and roast to get tomatoes.

Now for some Trey randomness!

This is how he was discovered in his crib!
