With my OB being out of town I saw one of his partners on Friday. It ended up working out so Warren and Trey could come with me! Yay! Trey was such a good boy and as always sucked up the attention. I haven't seen Dr. Harris since I was pregnant with Trey and he had nothing but compliments for our little man. I have to say I love this partner and if my own doctor is unable to make it I would feel just as comfortable in his hands. He looked over my chart and we talked a bit about my BORDERLINE blood pressure along with the increase in contractions. My blood pressure was much worse with Trey and was totally pregnancy related. This time I think it's just all the stress around me. We have had a lot on our plate this year but who hasn't. After explaining the short of it he was totally comfortable with my blood pressure for now.
After my exam he was also comfortable with my increased contractions. There are no signs of dilation or effacement! It's really not a surprise to me but he has to make sure. With Trey I was 30% effaced and 2 cm dilated when I was induced at 39 weeks. I had been for 2 weeks at that point and it seemed the only change during those 2 weeks was gaining 1 cm in dilation.
Brandon has definitely hit a growth spurt and measuring a whole week ahead. We should know more at my next appointment. Daddy loved hearing his little boy's rapid heartbeat. His heartbeat is usually pretty fast from all those flips and kicks. Speaking of which, he has not slowed down despite the fact his living quarters are shrinking around him.
How exciting! And we go back to see the doctor next week. I have one more two week appt. after that and then the weekly visits begin. The big day is just around the corner! :)
As for Trey, he doing fantastic and finally beginning to talk to people besides Warren and I. His favorite game lately is picking up his toys and throwing things out. If it looks like something he has seen thrown away, he will throw it away. Luckily, he hasn't thrown anything important away...yet.
Warren and I can not wait for Christmas this year. Trey is finally old enough to some what understand and he loves tearing open presents. I do know Warren will spend either Christmas Eve or Christmas morning putting up a swing set! Grandma Joanie sent us a great a train for the boys to put under the tree. It's the Lionel Polar Express, Warren and Trey have been waiting to dig into the box. It will have to wait till Christmas eve this year since a certain little man loves to play with cars and we do not want him to break it.
This weekend is going to be crazy! Thursday night we are visiting Santa's village over by Warren's work. Saturday we are hoping to do maternity portraits with Trey and then the local Christmas Parade Saturday night. Sunday is Christie and Steve's baby shower. All this while trying to bake holiday goodies and sort baby stuff. No wonder I am exhausted come Mondays.
