Happy Halloween!!!

Our baby boy is growing up too fast! Tonight he went Trick or Treating for the very first time. He hit only a few of our neighbor's houses but he just thought it was so cool to knock and receive candy. He wouldn't say Trick of Treat but he said "Danks!"

Getting Ready!

Walking to the first house.

This was Trey's first house and he thought they were so nice for giving him candy he'd just go right inside to hangout.

A few more houses

He would not let go of his bag!

Labels Suck

Instead of going off on a tangent about why labeling parents is wrong. Or, why putting everyone into tiny boxes doesn't really work...

Slings and Things Ramblings

I can count on one hand how many times we have used Trey's stroller. There is just something about wearing your little one. As a newborn, you are not stopping constantly to check inside the stroller to make sure they are safe and cozy. Instead, you feel each breathe, you know when they fall asleep, you truly feel and know everything that is happening in their world. Oh, and best of all, Airport Security doesn't make you take them out if they can see between Parent and Child. So much nicer than dealing with a stroller at the check points. Not to mention, it's great for pop and go breastfeeding!

Trey started out in a Moby Wrap and from day one refused to sit in a Hot Sling.

We both loved the Moby but it was just too much work getting it on and making sure we both were comfy. Not to mention, Trey was a July baby and the Moby did get hot.

With Trey being such a large baby, we moved on to an Ergo fairly quickly. Side note: I love love the Ergo Back Pack! This is a favorite of Trey and I. I am currently 6 months pregnant and can still wear my 30lbs guy on my back. (5 months in the photo)

Granted, getting him in and bouncing him to the back on my own with the bump is not happening. It's honestly better on my body than bending down and walking hand in hand.

Brandon will definitely find himself in the Ergo but I think this time we are going to start out in a ring sling. Yes I could get a newborn insert for the ergo but I just think the Ring Sling will make breastfeeding easier. So, after all that rambling, we are where I was heading...I am making my own Ring Sling! The problem is I can not make up my mind! What color do I want? Do I want to use a solid or pattern? Maybe I should make 2. This is way too much for my preggo brain to handle at the moment. I did decide on simple Aluminum Rings from Sling Rings!

Pregnancy and PeePee Updates

I went to the Doctor yesterday. I couldn't take the constant cramps (they were unbearable yesterday morning), morning sickness and inability to walk standing up straight. Brandon looks great! He is smaller than Trey was at 26 weeks but that is perfectly fine in my book seeing as I am the one who has to deliver him. Right now he is measuring in the 50% for 26 weeks but he could hit a huge growth spurt at anytime or he could save it for after he is born. He was also VERY VERY active, my organs could have told you that.

As for Mommy, I'm not feeling so great. Brandon is head down and hitting my pelvis while I walk. Yes, I walk like a cowboy these days. It's actually made worst by the fact our 15 1/2 Month old waddles around behind me. It's just all around painful to move around between the headbutts and the strain on my hips. They did a test yesterday to see if I would go into labor over the next two weeks and it thankfully came back negative. It was suggested I take it easy in the evenings, lift and chase Trey less and work on that dehydration...that was a lot easier the first time around. So in short, this pregnancy is becoming very uncomfortable for Mama but the baby is doing fantastic.

Then their is Trey, we have been working on his potty training since we have been back home. He hates his potty chair which in HIS world is made for storing toys not peepee. Yet, he refuses to wear diapers and clothes for the most part.

He is our little nudist.

BUTT! HE DID MAKE PEEPEE IN THE BIG POTTY STANDING UP!!!!!! Okay, MOST of it went on the floor because he won't aim...I'll add that to Daddy's list of things to teach him. He loves peeing standing up regardless of how hard I try to make him sit down. Sitting has a ton of medical benefits but he has to be just like Daddy.

Family Day @ The Dallas Arboretum! - Pic and Video Heavy

We had such a great day today! The 3 1/2 of us went to the Arboretum and spent the day playing in the Flowers and Pumpkins. It was so much fun!! Trey got a lot of attention in his Puppy Costume from other kids and adult alike. He had a fantastic time playing in the straw. Brandon was sweet enough to spend the time sleeping instead of kicking Mommy in the kidneys. He saved it all until we were walking back to the car. Such a sweet baby boy!

Trey was so excited he wore his hat before his morning shower!

Outside waiting for Daddy.

Hoorray, My Picture Town and Cozi - Reviews

I am a BzzAgent so I will post what I think of new Products and such here on this blog.

Hoorray - Photo Hosting
I personally use and LOVE SmugMug. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them. Having said that, I did give Hoorray a try. I did not like how slow upload was but for a FREE photo host they are doing a pretty good job. I am ordering my free 100 prints and their quality will truly decide if they get a thumbs up or down. Check it our for yourself and be sure to order your own Free 100 prints.

My Picture Town from Nikon
Again I love SmugMug but this site seems nice. Being a Nikon site it definitely gets a thumbs up but I am very curious of the print quality. The lower monthly cost beyond 2GB is a bonus. Check it out!

Cozi - Free Family Calendar
I have used and absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Cozi!!! We have actually been using it for over a year. It is such a great way to keep track of who has to be where and it's FREE. You can check it on both online and your computer. It syncs up to your outlook and will email family members of any updates and added events. I could go on and onbut you simply just have to try it!

Sickies

Life has been rather boring this past week and a half. We are all trying to recover from colds while trying to get Trey back on his normal schedule.

We do have some exciting news. Trey has a Halloween costume! He's going to be the cutest puppy dog ever but you'll have to wait until Halloween to see him! Also, he had his 15 month check up Tuesday morning.
He is 33.25 inches tall and 29lbs. 11oz.!

He is becoming such a big boy, I am afraid to blink or I'll miss something.

Hopefully, Warren will be back to normal this weekend and we can head to the Dallas Arboretum. This Saturday and Sunday is their Harvest Hallow family weekend. It sounds like so much fun!

I Love Pledge Multi Surface

I recently received a BzzAgent Pack of Pledge Multi Surface in the mail and this stuff just rocks!! It smells great and does a wonderful job even removing sticky dried toddler fingerprints from the Stainless Steel Fridge! I even use it on the glass stove top!! I can clean almost everything in our entire house using just one product. I can not get over how much time not having to switch products constantly saves on the time I spend cleaning. Did I mention it leaves the house looking and smelling great?
